We spent over £12k on our Magnet kitchen two years ago. Initially they provided a good design service and the fitting went ahead reasonably smoothly. We were however disappointed to notice random scratch marks on the work surfaces and the salesman admitted that the formica quality was not as good as it used to be. We have had a collapsed shelf as it was cut too small and we were particularly annoyed that the bin lids which are made of quite a brittle plastic started to split and finally broke in two. The lids were replaced once but despite us taking care this has happened again and now Magnet refuse a replacement as they claim we must be doing something wrong. Even though the bins are fitted in to kitchen unit they are not covered by the guarantee and will cost well over £100 to replace.
