Kitchens Direct Turned up 10 mins late, refused to leave a copy of their plan so i could bring it to a builders merchants and use their ideas, the salesman reduced the price of their kitchen to a price I could afford, i was happy with the design and their service but i refused to buy one of their kitchens due to the reviews i read on here, as a result i spent six months getting quotes and plans from various companies including, b+q ikea, focus kddc moben, crown, even smallbones and independant retailers, i spent a further 3 months shopping around comet, curry's, John lewis etc and after all that time i could not find a service or a price which was more competitive, so after wasting 9 months of my life i went back to kitchens direct, paid £250 more for my kitchen than i would have done on the day, now its been installed, there were no major issues, the kitchen fitter even fitted something i had bought from home base for no extra charge, having read all the reviews on this page i have decided that reviews are a waste of time and you have to make your own decisions! if anyone would like to see my kitchen or talk to the salesman/fitter i have their numbers and would be happy to share my experiences with people who are seriously trying to make a decision about who to buy their kitchen off of, kitchens direct are clearly better as they have their own factory and cannot be beaten on price or quality, this is why people are bad-mouthing them using very little information its because they are in the category of people who cannot deliver what their shiny brochures promise. i have many quotes, brochures and telephone numbers/ business cards, and i now have a kitchens direct kitchen which i am very happy with! p.s they have the same kitchens as moben but are 10-15% cheaper.
