“Generally, Navman 520i is quite good and once working...”

Good Points
I have used the ICN 520 to get from London, to Amsterdam, Paris, Le-Mans, and several other european locations - all without problems.

Software with the device is very good - very clearly shows which maps you have installed, and single click to download maps to device.

Bad Points
If device is not receiving satelite coverage when powered on, then it can take 10 minutes to connect (about 1 in 5 times - needs total reset) which is a pain when in a hurry!

Only does first 4 characters of postcodes - so you need full address every time anyway.

Remote control is not worth the £20 - press up on it once, and the cursor goes up 8 times. Press up next time - cursor goes left 4 times ETC - very random sums it up!

General Comments
Generally, Navman 520i is quite good and once working - has always got me where I want to go. The interface options are as good as any other device I've seen in use and the maps are as clear as they need to be.

Camera databases only sold seperatley, bit clunky to get working but once installed and setup then is generally ok.

The satelite pickup and the partial postcode is the only two problems with this item - outside of that then it does everything it should and a little more.
