A continuation from my first review. Computer Planet claim that when the PC was delivered it must have broken everything in my PC.. I really dont think this was the case. I think its a haradware compatitbility issue.
These guys are very dishonest, when i emailed them about the progress on the PC which took 1 month to build. As soon as i said i want my money back, they sent me 4 emails in one go. The emails confirmed that they have built the PC, put it through testing, the PC passed the 'extensive' testing phase and ready to deliver! After i recieved these emails, i got the PC a week later!
When i got the PC, the PC wouldnt switch on, the power supply wasnt connected and the mother board wasnt correectly installed. Even after switching it on, it wouldnt boot correctly, it would just freeze and go to a blue screen.
They arent willing to take the PC back on their own costs even though i have the warrenty where by computer planet will pay for the deliverey costs. I have lost out on 1800 on a PC which doesnt work at all.
I have been advised by the fair trade commission to write a letter to the company. I have given them a week deadline to get back to me otherwise I am with in my rights to take them to court. The fact that my warrenty states that my PC delivery costs would be paid by the them is in clear violation of the contract, so I have a perfect case against them
Also, I have heard that this company is under the eye of the BBC watchdog. I have also wrote them a letter describing my experiences with this company.
I did read reviews before I bought a PC from these guys, i assumed some people didnt receive a working PC from computer planet and rigged all these bad reviews. I now regret not listening to these reviews. I would advise everyone to think carefully before purchasing a PC from this company
I will write another review in a week and will let you know any progressions with my situation
