Good Points
It does what it says on the bottle - it is a difference maker and it does exfoliate skin and remove extra dirt your cleanser may have missed if used properly.

Bad Points
The tingling is a bit off-putting, it stung a bit the first time I used it but your skin gets used to it. Most people say the smell but I quite like it.

General Comments
I think clinique clarifying lotion is awesome, I used to have quite a teenage acne-scarred complexion and it's totally taken that down. I use number 2, for normal skin and it makes my skin feel so clean and fresh - it's actually quite disgusting the amount of extra dirt it gets off my face after cleansing sometimes. It is quite a good exfoliator so I'd advise using a moisturiser with an SPF factor afterwards.
