Good Points
Clean effiicient online system
Now partaking in the fast-transfer scheme so standing orders payments are same-day and not delayed like they used to be (no four-day clearance rubbish)
Great rates of interest
Adequate online customer-service response (always got back to me with 24 hours of a secure-message being sent)
Shows a list of pending-transfers for standing-orders (unlike my old bank) - so I can schedule future payments & review/cancel them at will.
Bad Points
Inter-account transfers are not shown instantly (transfer for Personal to Joint account, -both with A&L - shows the money exiting the Personal account long before showing it arriving in the Joint account).
General Comments
I transferred to A&L from Lloyds and now have a Personal account, a Joint account and a Saving account with them. I have kept the acccouns above zero so I've not experienced any excessives charges. From my personal experience and from what I've read other banks seem more aggressive about their charges however.
To make the accounts even better I'd like to see inter-account transfers shown on the balance instantly, other than that I am very impressed.
