Good Points
Comfortable with all types of journey, speed when you want it, excellent MPG (I've had 32 mpg on numerous occasions - Petrol), CD system, de-iceing of wind screen is very quick, on board computer, no rust on the car (bearing in mind its age) and excellent leg space for passengers.
Bad Points
Brake discs are of poor quality - I had them changed 5 times under warranty, juddering was poor, but changed to alternative product with no problems. 'Service-in' keeps coming up on screen even just after a service - bit of a bummer but i can live with that. Three dash board lights have stopped working (need advice on replacing as I'm getting ready to sell - can I DIY the job???) which is a bit inconvenient during nighttime. Having to keep taking the seats out when using it as a van is also a pain and the speaker covers are very timid.
General Comments
The Ford Galaxy 2.8i Ghia is still a very good vehicle to drive with a good driving view and it's still in excellent condition (even with 4 kids). Found the V6 untroubled when fully loaded - had the BHP when it needed it, as apposed to the 2.3 Zetec. A/C & Eco system are very good - I've had no problems contrary to what I've read in other reviews. It's been very reliable for the 5/half years I've owned it with only 65k on the clock and a FSH.
I'm presently selling this vehicle due to other business commitments, as I would like it to go to a good home if possible.
The new Galaxy looks good.
