Good Points
Driving position, very comfortable individual seats, loads of room, cubby holes for everything, no rust on body (plastic), steering wheel controls/remote for 6CD multiplayer and radio, safety etc.
Bad Points
Don't buy an early Mk 3 with sunroofs (I never do) - they have aircon anyway.
My main grouse is the EXTREME expense of repair - almost everything that goes wrong seems to cost at least £400!
General Comments
I love the Renault Espace. I have had five in the past eight years.
The Mark 2 3.0 litre V6 manual was the best for performance - could overtake almost everything in sight and still did 30mpg on a long run! I prefer the shape of the Mark 3. The early 2.2 dT engine is much the best and gives up to 45mpg on a long run if driven carefully. I love the driving position and visibility. It is like driving an ocean liner. I have helped several relatives move house. My last grand espace comfortably held an extending dining table and six chairs, a three piece suite and (an upright) piano (not all at once)!
