“its not always practical if you lower it too much, but...”

written by burnin666 on 16/04/2008

Good Points
Reliable, practical, good highway cruiser, good for towing (if the gearbox works properly) an all round good family rig.

Bad Points
Got too mush body roll at factory ride hight, power steer pump leaks like a sieve. the floors under the front seats are weak(you ever wondered why
the front seats look twisted or crooked on some commodore's (vb-vp) you see).

General Comments
its not always practical if you lower it too much, but it handles really good. i got a Holden VN Vacationer wagon 12/90 the auto has always slipped a bit since we've had it (also heavy on fuel and drains power) i just put a series1 stage 2 shift kitted (built for towing) auto box in it. (different ratio box) now its better on fuel, got its full power back its a lot quicker now. and im about to put 3.36 diff ratio in it(currently 3.08). i know family rig old habits die hard. : ) my also idles a bit rough and has little pops or backfires out the tail pipe. ?its all serviced regularly pen rite oils magnetic filters etc...
