I have used Atla Direct for a number of years and purchased travel insurance for many holidays. However, a computer glitch meant that I had paid twice for the same policy. Ok mistakes are made and computers do suffer these things. But it's taken me all day to rectify it on a number that doesn't connect. After several emails the issue was sorted out and a refund followed. Unfortunately, the person I eventually got through to had a very aggressive and downright arrogant attitude and basically couldn't be bothered to listen to my problem. 0/10 for customer care I'm afraid. I had to call on one occasion recently for a skiing accident in Austria and I couldn't fault the process of care and attention. But the call centre staff are woefully short in this respect. Very angry and disappointed with such treatment.
