“Sunday evening nowhere near a garage and my rear...”

Written on: 08/08/2008

Good Points
Very very easy to use.

Bad Points
None to note.

General Comments
Sunday evening nowhere near a garage and my rear offside was rapidly deflating. On inspection a delightful new 1" chipboard screw is protruding from the centre tread. I had three courses of action, (1) tighten the screw and trust in luck, (2) fit my doughnut spare, (3) use the can of Holts tyre weld I've been carrying around for years. Easy, being a lazy old sod I used the tyre weld as per the instructions after carefully unscrewing the offending foreign body (screw). Within seconds the tyre sealed and re-inflated the tyre. After driving 50 miles or so I found a garage with a tyre pump and guess what! The tyre was already at 2 Bar (makers reccomended pressure) without adding any air. Fantastic, love the stuff. I would add that it was only a very small perforation.
