Good Points
Features, especially wi-fi which is more handy due to more and more hot spots being available. The new illuminated keypad is excellent, some people may find it small but it's fine for me to use.

Bad Points
The menu button on the front is a disaster, 5-way jog style but the middle button is hard to press, 9 times out of 10, I press down or up and go somewhere I don't want to. I have owned the P900 and P910i and both keypads are better. I think SE will receive many complaints about this, as it is an unavoidable key which operates pretty much every function with the flip up.

General Comments
The Sony Ericsson P990i is an excellent phone! I bought mine from mobileshop.com who to be fair, were excellent, ported my number and delivered the phone within 1 day. Phone was free, 18 month contract and £30/mo, on o2 with 400 mins and 100 texts. I think this was a bargain considering the phone has been out about 1 week.

After owning both the P900 and P910i, I am slightly disappointed as the front is like stepping back in time to the P900 (well the flip certainly is as the buttons look very similar). I think SE should have put more effort into the flip as it seems a little "oh that will do" for me.

Overall a good phone, which to be honest, probably blows away all other Smart Phones out now or within the next year, SE has the edge because they have made proven winners in both the P900 and P910i.
