I received a letter to say my insurance would be automatically renewed and my debit card automatically debited.... standard stuff these days, however Swiftcover had doubled the price. I called them to ask why and was told prices had increased.. so I said NO THANKS as I could do better (£235 to £550) and was informed the conversation was being recorded as proof that I had cancelled....

Within 20 seconds of hanging up I received a text on my mobile stating that my insurance was due for renewal and if they did not hear from me it would automatically be renewed - I ignored it but then after another 30 seconds another text arrived stating that my payment card had expired and I should go on line to update it........ Imagine that, despite the cancellation and two weeks remaining on my insurance they tried to take the money....... WARNING, Swiftcover will try and take your money, then no doubt will charge you for a cancellation etc etc....
