“You are not surprised the Contax Carl Zeiss Planar...”

Written on: 03/03/2002 by Rob Colleye. (1 review written)

Good Points
Contrast, sharpness and bokeh are top.
Built to last for a century

Bad Points
Full open sharpness.

General Comments
You are not surprised the Contax Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm SLR camera lens gives sharp images, but more important and even better are the contrast and bokeh (the nice unsharpness what gives a picture the third dimension).

The mechanics are top.

The price is high compared to a plastic Pentax or Minolta, but in this league only the Leica can compete, and that one costs 4(!) times the price of the Zeiss.
