I Tend To Think That The Palma Rima Could Do With
I tend to think that the Palma Rima could do with a bit of modernisation but overall is acceptable for accomodation , The staff are friendly and helpful myself and my partner have stayed here 4 times and are about to go back a 5th time we use this hotel as our base as we have got very friendly with a lot of the staff and the owner , who is very approachable and very reasonable , we love the bungalows in the Palma Rima and favour 10b as it has the sun all day long so we always ask for this bungalow and yes we get it sometime it takes a couple of days but we always get moved to it , when we were ther in Nov 2009 we didnt think we would be back for a couple of years however the pull of all our good Gambian friends is to strong so we just have to go back and beleive me if the hotel was that bad I would never use it again . I would say that it would be a joy to go to the Palma Rima and find duvets on the beds instead of the blankets but at the end of the day we enjoy our stay in this hotel .

This Hotel Is The Absolute Pits, The Food Unedible
this hotel is the absolute pits, the food unedible and after the first two nights ate at the pizza place round the corner, the bumster hanging round the hotel made life a misery, not recommended

We Had A Party Of 14 People Including Children. I
We had a party of 14 people including children. I would not recommend this hotel for any age group. The owner seems only interested in making money and giving poor service. This is a great shame because the room are satisfactory and the hotel is ideally situated .

Bumsters Congregating Outside Hotel And Everywhere
Bumsters congregating outside hotel and everywhere in locality made life a misery. This hotel appears to be in its death throes but could be turned round with a major face lift. It clearly has a bit of a reputation, witnessed by conversations I had with a no. of folk I met from different hotels during our week's stay.

We Arrived With Trepidation To The Palma Rima Havi
We arrived with trepidation to the palma rima having previously stayed at the Senegambia hotel. Fears were unfounded this hotel was wonderful. The pool is lovely and cleaned daily. The breakfast was slightly disappointing as it was toast cereal bread etc but then again who could eat a cooked breakfast for two weeks running!. Evening meals were varied and to the most part very enjoyable. Ten of us went and every single one of us declared the holiday the best one we have ever had. Although some people may get intimidated by the bumpsters there really is nothing to get uptight about. Make friends with one or two of them and they will make sure no one else bothers you. They really are the most friendly people I have ever met, and no I am not being naive they really do take no for an answer if you really don't want to be hassled! no bad points at all.

Staying At The Palma Rima Hotel All In All A Lovel
Staying at the Palma Rima Hotel all in all a lovely relaxing holiday, the water is safe to drink but would advise bottled water & pack some pepti bismol just incase of tummy upsets, I did have the misfortune of having it but didn't spoil my holiday
just got back from staying at the palma rima hotel 3 april 2009 . this is the 3rd time at this hotel and it will be the last !! the first time was in 2003 the hotel then was ok and in a good location and the food was eatable . the second and third time there the hotel had no alterations done where it was badly needed and the food each time we went back was terrible but it was chaep and liked staying in the bunglows which were surrounded with wildlife and the food outside the hotel in the restaurants are lovley and never yet have come across a bad one , but after coming back this time i can truly say that i wont be coming back the hotel is falling a part and well the food is worse than ever even though we were b/b we ate there twice as it was not worth waking up for ! the choices were slices of bread roll , jam, marmalade, black slices of bannana and hard mango slices and a fried cold egg and dry hard bit of toast what was brought out from the kitchen and shoved in front of you. the food and drink are in parr with britian price wise although food is good!! and the gambiams expect a lot when it comes to tips i was given them £100 dalas which is about £3.44 which is more than i would give in england and majority of them were asking for more.
