General Comments
The myX-5m is a bare bones handset from budget phone manufacturers Sagem. The unit offers no camera and doesn't support Java games and the ringtone speaker is satisfactory at best. However, while this may not appeal to many people, the myX-5m is still a viable option if you require a new phone.

The myX-5m features a colour screen that is bright and clear, and because of the no frills approach, is very easy to use and rarely suffers from software failures and errors that other more extravagant models do. The use of shortcut keys makes accessing SMS and phonebook menus easy and the overall design quality of the unit is quite high.

The default blue casing is attractive and the silver buttons are well placed and just the right distance apart to prevent double presses. The myX-5m is designed as an entry-level colour screen mobile and so doesn't feature any advanced features such as blue tooth, but does support GPRS, Media Messaging and has an infrared port. Also of note (and probably the best feature of the handset) is the size of the phone: it is reassuringly tiny and quite slim compared to other Sagem models in the my-X range.

The my-X5m does suffer from the same poor quality, low definition polyphonic ring tone speaker (sounds like an old vinyl record playing though cotton-wool) as others in the range, but overall is a pleasant, small and inexpensive (£35) phone.
