“Most compelling aspect of the museum is ironically...”

written by on 21/09/2008

Good Points
The reconstruction of Aushwitz

Bad Points
Lack of recognition given to the homosexual victims of the Holocaust. The single cursory mention is almost like an afterthought- -very poor indeed. The curators need to check comparable museums in Berlin if they lack knowledge of this area.

General Comments
Most compelling aspect of the museum is ironically that which is least directly related WW2-the Holocaust memorial.

Here, the displays are very modern and immediately draw you in.

The reconstruction of Aushwitz (a large scale model)sends a chill down your spine. Overall, a lively museum-well worth visiting.
