Good Points
It's St andrews. The choices of courses. The nearby restaraunts. The friendly people etc
Bad Points
People say it's the weather. I live near St Andrews. 9/10 days it's perfect.
General Comments
St Andrews IS the home of golf. I am not Scottish or a patriot, but it is. There are lots of different courses on offer. With different price ranges and different skill levels.
Balgove=The begginers course. It's a 9 hole but you get to play it twice for £3. It's free if you are under 16 and live in St Andrews.
Strathtyrum=The next level up , 18 hole long fairways . challenging bunkers etc £15 approx.
Eden course= never played this one, even harder 18 hole. Slightly more expensive.
The new course=A course situated right amongst the old course. a big course 18 hole. A reasonable price tag.
And THE OLD COURSE=Not for the beginners. has the notorious Hell's bunker on it which even people like Collin Montgomerie find tricky. 18 holes, with the famous stream and bridge on it. I think it costs £115 for a round of over 18 St Andrews residents-more for non residents and you can't play on it at all if youre under 18. I hope this has helped. Come and play the courses , they are beautiful!
