Wildhearts Stormy In The North, Karma In The South...

written by Dreadlocksmile on 17/11/2004

Good Points
A rare and amusing glimpse at the band's antics behind the scenes of the 'Stormy In The North' music video shoot.

Bad Points
The DVD doesn't included the finished music video. Not very in-depth and the DVD doesn't include anything else. Can also get tedious if you are not a die hard fan of the band!

General Comments
Wildhearts Stormy In The North, Karma In The South [DVD] - In January of 2003, the Wildhearts released the rock 'n' roll treat that is 'Stormy In The North, Karma In The South' through Snapper Records. The single came out in three parts (CD1, CD2 and a 'Making Of The Video' DVD). The two CDs both contained two B-Sides each. This review is for the DVD part. The singles managed to fly up to number 17 in the UK Charts upon release.

The DVD involved a 'Making of Stormy In The North, Karma In The South' video. The DVD lasts for about 10 mins and is constructed from camcorder footage taken at the time of the music video shoot. The footage is clips spliced together to form this loose yet comical in places glimpse of the creation of the video. I would only recommend the DVD to die hard fans of the Wildhearts, as otherwise the content may get a little tedious.

Unfortunetly and very surprisingly, the final finished video for the song is not actually included on the DVD. All that is on there is purely the 'Making Of...' footage.

The DVD is available on Region 0 (all regions) PAL and includes a 15 certificate.
