Bad Points
There is a hill, however we managed it with small kids in tow, in a heat wave & I was in heels in the evenings!

General Comments
My husband first visited the Emerald alone last year, and was so besotted we all went back this year. What gives the place it's edge is the owner, Costas. You will not meet a more welcoming host, period. The atmosphere at the bar in the evenings is inclusive & wonderful. The rooms are basic, but very clean- the staff do a wonderful job.

The walk up the hill brings you to one of the best views on the island- you'd be mad to complain! Not to mention the fact it helps to walk off some of the amazing food on the island- and Costas' huge measures!

There is no airport on Thassos- and so (obviously) no runway!

We will go back as soon as we can, and almost everyone we met has been to the Emerald time & time again.
