“This Oldsmobile Alero 3.4L V6 GL Sedan has had some...”

written by katiemm on 04/10/2004

Good Points
The exterior body style is nice.

Bad Points
Everything under the body is bad.

General Comments
This Oldsmobile Alero 3.4L V6 GL Sedan has had some major components replaced at low mileage. My list of replacements includes:

Brake caliper at 19,824 miles.

Lower intake manifold gaskets at 24,878.

Power steering hose at 24,980.

Wheel speed sensor, lower control arms, and HEAD GASKET at 28,754.

Fuel tank cap, front stabilizer shaft, insulator, and bracket at 33,451.

Upper and lower intake gaskets and brake pads at 40,903.

Front strut mounts, front stabilizer link, and oil leaking in main rear area at 48,837.

Steering gear and FRONT CRANK SEAL at 54,998 miles.

By the time I reach 60,000 miles I will practically have a new car with all the replacements I've made. Oldsmobile put out new pieces of trash and conveniently went out of business shortly after.
