“Feel totally screwed over”

After being loyal customers to E&L for 10 years feel totally done over. Our Tonk Muppet fell suddenly extremely ill last month after 9 years problem free. Tests proved diabetes and he was hospitalised, stabilised and commenced insulin treatment. He never recovered and we had to make that heartbreaking decision. The vets fees were in excess of £2000 which we had to pay for up front to the vets as they did not deal directly with E&L insurance. After weeks of chasing the claim we are horrified to hear that despite £5k worth of cover on the policy we are to receive a paltry amount of £270. What an earth was the point of insurance?

Had we persevered and put our beloved boy through further treatment I dread to think of the financial implications. Isn't it abysmal when you think you are doing the right thing by being a responsible pet owner and just getting shafted. Do not touch this outfit ! There must be a more reputable insurance company out there.

Merry Christmas E&L. Thank you for making mine a poor one in addition to the sad one without my boy.
