Spoke to reedsrain regarding valuation of our property. All the staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone so cannot fault that.
When the Valuer came - This is where I became concerned
Was told would have to make an upfront payment for photography. (All other valuations included this)
Then we were given some prices on conveyancing, seemed reasonablish.
When I asked about the estate agent fee , I was just being told 21, in a mumbled muffled voice. So I had to ask a few times for this before I actually got the answer of £2100
Very typical sales pushy chat, so we wasn't keen at all. All the other valuators have gave us time to think, but this guy wanted commitment there and then. I Signed the paperwork just to get the bloke out of the house as we were told we had a cooling off period.Called a few days later to tell them we weren't going to pursue with reedsrain.
2 weeks later we found an agent and a board went up. Reedsrain called me saying their head office want me to pay some kind of penalty or I sell with reeds rain to avoid the penalty and this is all in the paperwork I signed. Disgraceful as we had already told them we weren't interested in them at all.
I found them too over confident and pushy. Probably good traits when it comes to selling houses, but not good when people are still exploring their options.
Reedsrains you might claim to be the best sellers but your sales and service techniques are the stuff of stereotypical window salesmen. Get a reality check and sort your service out!!!
