Good Points
Fantastic with children! Often being referred to as the 'Nanny' dog! Very loving, loyal, resiliant, can cope with being pulled, poked and prodded by babies, toddlers and young children! I have 5 staffy's and one 4 year old son!
Bad Points
Have a bad reputation in the public eye, but I say bad owners, not bad dogs! Can be a little noisy sometimes. Staffy's seem to have a high pitched throaty scream when excited! Very strong on the lead if not trained properly, but again, thats down to the owner.
General Comments
Staffordshire Bull Terriers, if brought up properly and socialised with other dogs when very young make an absolutely FANTASTIC pet! They love children and adults. Like I said before they are very resiliant and tough and can withstand the rough and tumble with a boisterous toddler or older children! Very loyal and protective of their owners, not agressive to other dogs as long as they are mixed with other dogs when they are young! They are easy to look after and don't really drop hair.
I have ended up with 5 staffy's after rescuing a few and getting the 'staffy bug'. Smashing, solid little dogs!
