Good Points
Image quality from the Olympus C4040 is just superb. Good depth, definition and contrast.
Nice to handle - reminds me of a 35mm rangefinder camera.
Sensible menu system that is easy to understand.
Manual over-ride functions work well and do the job!

Bad Points
Camedia software is poor. Do not rely on this for downloading images. It caused my computer to freeze many times.

General Comments
The camera performance is awesome for amateur usage. I can't really see the attraction of the E series from Olympus when this provides such super results. My first few shots were enough to convince me that the capability and convenience of this digital camera is overwhelming.
