Natasha Bedingfield, Unwritten is an accomplished debut containing a variety of styles from a young woman with a famous brother and an accomplished voice. While sometimes the lyrics descend into poor sixth-form poetry (the one about rhyming Keats over a hip-hop beat is pretty dire) and there are too many references to the process of songwriting, on the whole this album contains a solid set of singles, some great ballads and indicates a lot of untapped potential in Ms. Bedingfield.
If she doesn't become an international star in the near future I'll eat my hat.
