“service charges”

I recently received a check for work performed at a business.
I was asked to hold the check as there was insufficient funds in the
account.
When I was told the funds were there I went to Bank of America to cash the check ,as I wanted to make sure of the funds
Bank of America charged me $8.00 to cash the check , even though it was written by one of their members.
I will never do business with B of A again
