“How to make Simarc accountable for their actions”

I want to thank all the people who took the time to write reviews on Simarc. I'd had an offer accepted on a property and found out after that Simarc were the property managers. Concerned about the number of negative reviews, I contacted Simarc and asked them which Property Redress Scheme they were a member of. All property management companies who collect any money, even just ground rent, are required by law to be a member of one of these schemes, which provide independent arbitration of complaints that customers cannot resolve satisfactorily with the company itself.
Simarc's response was if I had a complaint I had to write to them and THEY would 'deal with it accordingly'!! I urge anyone with a complaint against this company to contact their local Trading Standards office and report Simarc as not complying with the law. Hopefully they'll be fined and forced to join one of the Property Redress Schemes - and then all the people who are being treated so badly by Simarc will be able to get some help. Best of luck to you all, it's horrible to see so many people being subjected to the highly questionable methods of this company.
