“We were only at Villa Andreas Parga Town for a week...”

Written on: 02/07/2006 by Gill Howell (1 review written)

Good Points
Great setting. Wonderful views of mountains, Parga itself and the olive groves. Very peaceful location. Short walk downhill into the town centre for huge choice of restaurants but some very good restaurants very close by to the apartments as well. Splashing out on the aircon is a must when it's hot as neighbouring guests didn't and were kept awake by dogs/horses/mopeds etc - we didn't hear a thing! Very friendly staff.

Bad Points
It was extremely hot when we were there so walking anywhere was somewhat of a challenge - yet we walked to nearby Lichnos Beach twice through the olive groves (get the water taxi back!) despite the heat.

General Comments
We were only at Villa Andreas Parga Town for a week but would recommend the following:

Train ride to Ali Pasha castle

Lichnos beach

Sarakiniko beach (lovely boat ride there from Parga harbour via water taxi 1dep 11 return 5)

Car hire for a day - Prevezza/Nekromantion/river Acheron and beach/Sivota - hire a boat for an hour or 2 and go round the islands/great drive back on coast/mountain road to Parga

Boat trip to Paxos/Anti Paxos/caves - swim in the blue lagoon was probably the highlight as very hot day
