Good Points
I think that Irene apartments were the best apartments we have ever visited in Greece. The bar staff were very friendly, and made you feel welcome at all times. Also, although the bar was open until the last person stopped drinking, it was reasonably quiet at night times. The room was cleaned daily and the laundry was done around three times during our two week stay. Irene apartments are situated in a perfect area, around a five minute walk to the beach and even less to the excellent bars and restaurants. The pool, which is just across a small, very quiet road was reasonably clean and just the right size. There is also a small kiddies pool and many sun beds around the outsides. The pool bar sold basic snacks, ice creams and various drinks which were very cheap. The bar staff are extremely friendly and behind the bar is a large television regularly showing football etc. All in all a very comfortable place to stay.

Bad Points
There aren't many bad points about Irene apartments except some people may find the actual rooms very basic. This however is not a problem for those who barely use their room in the day time. The air conditioning which is payable locally is quite expensive but definitely worth getting.

General Comments
I would definitely recommend these apartments for all, especially families as they are quiet and secluded but only a few minutes walk from the beach etc. The bars and tavernas are definitely all worth a visit as the Greek food is delicious and the bars have a good relaxing feel for people of all ages. As Elounda has a harbour it is a spectacular looking place, especially during the night time. Irene apartments are the perfect place to stay for a relaxing yet fun holiday.
