This really says it all doesn't it

I want to request their CCTV footage inside the Hertz York office on Saturday 13th August between 11.00pm - 12.00pm.

This will then be able verify there was in fact a call and is within the 28 days of CCTV footage they need to keep on file.

Hi,

That is completely untrue and infuriates me that such a bare faced lie has been told. Hertz said they didn't have enough cars for all their bookings anyway on the day and this car would be given to someone else as there was a queue of people waiting. If you want to received a written statement from the person and witness who was also with by all means I will provide this of the discussion that was had. They 100% did not inform me I would be charged and thought that that was the end of it. To the fact that they actually stated other people were waiting for the car I had not taken


You failed to tell me when I rang your company for the full charge and Hertz have now lied about a whole conversation. To say I am actually disgusted is an understatement it is no longer a monetary matter but one of principal.

I want to escalate my grievance in this matter immediately.

Dear Ms. X,

I hope this email finds you well. We have revoewed the matter, both internally and with Hertz, and were unable to find any record of the conversation which you mentioned that you had with our reservationist. Hertz have verified that the rental was not used for the reasons prviously stated, and have advised that they will be billing Auto Europe in full for the rental, as their no-show penalty is higher than the voucher cost. As such, unfortunately we are not able to offer a refund in this instance.

We do sincerely regret that we were not able to offer a more positive outcome on this occasion, and please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
