“I should have learnt the first time....”

Last year I purchased house insurance through the CTM.com website and followed all the instructions to get the meerkat toy for my daughter. Lots of emails arrived saying it was on its way and then after 8 weeks I received an email saying my claim was declined. I tried to find out why but CTM would not enter into any conversation about it.

Fast forward 12 months and I decided to give them a second chance when buying insurance for a new van. Again I followed the instructions and again I received emails telling me the meerkat toy was on its way, everything was looking good and then suddenly the dreaded email landed - claim declined.

Now I can just about accept that a company might make a mistake once, but twice is too much of a coincidence for my liking.

Based on my experience, I would recommend that you save yourself the hassle (and the barrage of spam) and use a reputable insurance broker. It is very obvious that I am not alone in having a claim declined, don't put yourself in the position of being the next person to write a review about CTM.com declining your claim.
