“The TV Tan EP was the second release from the album...”

written by Dreadlocksmile on 26/07/2004

Good Points
Great title track, with another three outstanding B-Sides. Dangerlust is awe inspiring.

Bad Points
How can you fault an EP that includes TV Tan as a title track then follows with three incredible B-Sides? What a release!

General Comments
The TV Tan EP was the second release from the album "Earth Vs The Wildhearts", and was released back in November 1993 on CD, 12" Vinyl, Cassette and 7" Vinyl Picture Disc (Only 2 Tracks). The release managed to claw its way to number 53 in the UK Charts showing that the Wildyboys were on the way to getting their music out there to the UK rockers.

The track listing is as follows:

1. TV Tan

2. Show A Little Emotion

3. Dangerlust

4. Down On London

The CD single's packaging was to resemble a take-away pizza box, with the CD itself sporting a rather disgusting picture of a pizza on its surface. The 7" Vinyl picture disc was also a photo of the same pizza toppings but only included the additional B-Side "Show A Little Emotion".

All three B-Sides are winners, but I must draw attention to the track "Dangerlust". What a song! The EP is worth purchasing for this one song alone! You can expect the usual Wildhearts sound, with their riffage of Bacchanalian proportions and melodies so catchy you'll think they were contagious.
