POLICY Dog Standard Petprotect
Unfortunately we have been insured by this company for 13 years where we haven't missed a payment (From £25 to £40 per month) and only claimed a couple of times nothing major. But after 13 years our beautiful lab Maggie passed away and it was nice to know we had insurance to cover the costs, it even states it on the Policy Schedule "Death Of Pet" £300 (NOTE i said in the Policy Schedule not the fine print booklet) and it always has for 13 years. So we done the right things and then sent off the claim ohhhhhhh but how wrong we were, what we weren't aware of was that after 8 years old your pet is only covered for accidental death not dying with dignity. So we asked them to explain why no-one told us this when we were renewing our policy every year (13 years), but all we got was well its in the small print in your 16 page hand book that you received. On top of this the claim prior to her death they deducted £150 so total cost £689.21 we will receive £135.0. So we are a pet friendly family who have always had and always will have dogs but will i or any of my family of friends use Petprotect again NEVER NEVER NEVER.

I have lodged a complaint through customer service but i know i will receive a letter in about 6 weeks telling me the same that its in the small print and even though you have paid us for 13 years (5 of which we weren't covered for death naturally) you weren't covered.
