“Item did not arrive”

I purchased a monitor, two days before the delivery was due I received a call to say the item was out of stock and to arrange a new delivery date. Two days after the delivery date I called to find out why the item had not arrived only to be told that it has increased in price. I was told that since the price of the item has risen by over £100 they could not cover it. Even after I had mentioned that I had already purchased the item and had at that point been waiting almost two weeks, I was told my only option was to pay the difference in price or get a refund.

Valuable time wasted for me. I will be hesitant to order from Debenhams Plus again.
