“Any airline but american”

Booked flight to Mexico ( first class ) on a Friday, half hour before the flight they announced flight would be delayed 2 hours because flight crew didn't get enough sleep. Then another announcement if you have a connecting flight it will be missed. Then still another announcement giving an 800 number to call to make other arrangements. Asked the ticket agent if they delayed the flight would they not make other arragenments for the passengers? Was told sometimes yes sometimes no. Called the 800 number only to be told there are no other flights until Monday. After an hour and half of back and forth we were finally put on another flight but now had a 6 hour layover at Charlotte before flying to Dallas and then Mexico. So we went from a 1 stop flight to a 2 stop flight with a 6 hour layover. This after paying for first class 1 stop with no layovers. Now went to the ticket agent and gave her the new information for our luggage and was assured it would be taking care of, that the luggage would arrive at our destination with us. Finally get to Mexico and you guessed it no luggage. So now we have to file a claim which we were not alone counted 8 others with lost luggage. Filed the claim and was told luggage was never put on plane in Dallas. After all this not once did any one say sorry or here's something for your troubles. Long story short when you see AA run very fast in the other direction.
