Good Points
Low jitter, and good mechanism. Better for audio.

Bad Points
Not for DVD-R, RWs???

General Comments
The Plextor PX-712A/T3 is good, and very stable. I can use it at 20-30x speed to burn a pro-audio CD, and 8x for a DVD-A. Compared to other brands, a few extra dollars is worth it.
