“Don't waste your money!”

written by Fitzgeraldqq218 on 08/04/2016

I took out home emergency and boiler cover with the AA. I then decided to upgrade to include the annual boiler service. I wish I had gone elsewhere...

The AA use other companies to do the service and any repairs,
June 2015 I had my boiler serviced. From then on it kept losing pressure. They sent out heating engineers from a company called Plumbcare.
The first one managed to break a kitchen cupboard door. Didn't fix the low pressure.
The second time the engineer broke one of my ornaments and didn't tell me. He didn't fix the low pressure.
The third time, nothing broken, didn't fix the low pressure which I was now having to top up my boiler daily.
I gave up!
The AA sent me a renewal quote... Hahahaha almost £500 a year. No thank you!

I received a call, an audit call. Was I happy with the service? Erm that would be a no!
Can we send our own senior audit engineer to find the fault. Okay then.

Engineer arrived with no idea there was still a fault!
He 'checked' my boiler and said he would get Plumbcare back out as he thought it was a micro leak in the pipes under the floor,
Never heard from them again.

In February my boiler broke down completely. Leaving me with no heating or hot water for two days. Also costing me £1440 for a new boiler. Supplied and fitted by Hallamshire energy services. Five star service from start to finish by the way.

Roll on to March my AA car breakdown cover is due for renewal. I ring to cancel it. She asks why, I explain. Then I write an honest review on the AA's face book page. 'Please contact us via private message', 'No I'll write to your CEO, he should be aware of the terrible service'.
Suddenly the executive office of the CEO is ringing and emailing me, they will investigate. So I decided to email her and explain what had happened. No response.
I gave it a couple of weeks, sent another email with the original included and cc'd the CEO in. Again no response.

Basically the AA aren't interested and don't care what happens once they've had your money.

My advice, do not use the AA for any products. They should be ashamed of themselves!
