I have a safety box with the bank. When I went into the bank they advised to call a number to arrange an appointment.
I did as advised and went in before time.
The bank had no idea I was coming in. They couldn't locate my box. It has been 8 busy years I haven't had a chance to view the box. I had a reference number and a receipt of opening this box. They said they had a number of boxes which have no identification. This did alarm me. How can you look after important matter without a proper system. They said the number given to me on my receipt means nothing. I needed to give a discription of the box which to be honest I couldn't remember. I thought with the receipt and ref number they would find it. At the end they didn't even apologise and sent me away to look into the matter. It's a very important box. I was better off making a hole in my garden than leave anything with Natwest. I have my main important accounts with other banks thank goodness I can only feel sorry for those who have money with Natwest and how badly it would be managed.
