Having used Marks and Spencers for several years to get flowers delivered to my mother on mother's day and birthdays - won't be using again.
Flowers which were delivered last Sunday, 6 March 2016 were in a poor state, delivered by Yodel, very droopy and half dead, hardly the impression I was after. Apparently the flowers are no longer delivered in water, so the recipient is given an instruction card, telling them to trim stems, soak in water and so on! The whole point of sending flowers to an 82 year old is for them to be delivered looking beautiful and I thought presumably in a presentation box to be put straight on a fireplace/table with minimum of fuss.
I rang to complain but staff member not at all bothered really, just stated thats the way they are delivered now and that's that really. Just marvellous, now our beloved Marks and Spencer don't give a damn.
So I will be looking for a local florist in future, in the hope that they probably will try harder as they may care about their reputation, unlike Marks and Spencer!
