A mixed experience. Like many reviewers on here, I've been through the long, drawn out refund process a couple of times and fortunately have got my money back, even though it's taken a while.
My impression of Fashion-Conscience is that half of its stock is sourced from ethical brands, which are in line with the site's customers' beliefs. The other half is cheaply sourced - shoes and boots in particular - which are labelled vegan because they aren't made of animal materials. That's fine, but in truth they are often made of cheap plastic and fabrics that stretch and distress easily, and made (ethically or unethically, who knows?) in China. Another reviewer pointed out that some items can be bought on Amazon for a fraction of the price. I know this to be true from my own research.
What a shame - this site could have been part of the very powerful movement for consumer change.
Perhaps the owner started out with good intentions, however she should think about living up to the name of her business or do something more aligned with her own values.
Great alternative sites I have bought ethically made shoes and boots from are wills-vegan-shoes.and beyondskin.
