“Incorrect care instructions and dreadful customer service”

I purchased the Harrow rug from Habitat shortly before Christmas 2015. After an apple juice spill I followed the care instructions and was left with a rug that was permanently marked. The stain was at least 50% darker than the original rug and the juice itself. I was told by customer services I should have professionally dry cleaned the product. Despite the fact that this care instruction was not included on the product they refused to offer an exchange on the rug. I went to complain in person to the store I purchased the rug from (Finchley Road). The manager was rude and aggressive and refused to offer an exchange, despite the fact the care instructions were not properly included and the product itself is of inferior quality. I would not recommend Habitat, nor will I purchase any product from them again.
