Paid a local locksmith to secure our property after what we thought was just a broken lock, our locksmith advised excessive force had been used and he would call the insurance company as in his experience it was an attempted break in.
Our insurance company sent out Evander to access the situation, the guy from Evander said he couldn't tell if it was foul play but he would put a temporary lock until they came back out with a new one.
I told them NOT to touch the door unless it would be fixed completely he told us 100% he'd be back out to fix it..
A week later the insurance company based on what Evander had told them were not paying out and they were refusing to come back out. The lock I was left with was dangerous as now any of my 3 children (eldest 4) could now easily open my front door (which is in my living room) and walk out on to a busy road!
After numerous promises of a call back I finally got through to Evander and have made them come out and put the door back to how they first found it.. So that will be 4 weeks left with a lock dangerous for my children.. Let's hope all goes well when they come back out!
