“incompetent staff, horrendous service ”

Was a customer with this bank for over 10 years. Started off Okay, then around 2013, it went downhill. Basic instructions about account were not carried-out, emails were not answered. Staff lied to me when I called them to follow-up (said they had to get approval from Head office).

Lack of information about account. So, they would randomly auto-renew NRFC Fixed Deposit accounts. When you call them, again, not all the information relating to the account is provided, so you cannot make informed decisions. Different departments will give you conflicting info about how to sign-up for internet banking.

During the last three years, I have had to email them continuously sometimes 3-4 times, to head office, to their office in UK to get the most basic thing done. It has been the most unpleasant of banking experience.

This is a state-owned bank, even though they were okay before (3-4 years ago), standards have gone down rapidly. Stay well away, if you value peace of mind and convenience.
