Ordered carpet on 26th November. On receipt of carpet we were not happy with quality both in terms of colour and that it was very crumpled rather than a smooth roll.
Contacted Rug Seller who agreed return. This is the first thing to be aware of - there are unreasonable stringent terms on the return policy 1) you have to contact within 48h of receipt, and 2) it has to be received back within 7 calendar days.
So after rushing and paying a premium to return to get it back in time, the Rug Seller then became completely unresponsive.
I did contact a week later to check progress and I confirmed that the parcel had been successfully delivered back as I had tracking info. The seller blamed slow refund on the delivery over the festive period which was completely irrelevant as I had already showed that the item was received by their depot (as I had tracking info).
Another two weeks sending email messages chasing refund but was completely ignored by The Rug Seller. In the end had to make a PayPal claim who swiftly ruled in our favour and refunded full amount back.
So in all very disappointed with the experience and I couldn't recommend. I do, however, realise that there are many positive reviews on here so am in the minority. My advice therefore is that if you do buy something from these people protect yourself by:
1) Use PayPal
2) Open and check carpet ASAP so you are not caught out by unreasonable returns. You have 48 hrs so if a neighbour receives it etc. Just email straight away requesting a return just to protect yourself in case you don't like it.
3) Use tracked delivery if you return so you can prove signature.
I'm sure that had I not had the proof of receipt Rug Seller would have denied they received it. PayPal were great and have a record of won cases against them so are the safer option.
