“Shockingly bad customer service”

I ordered 2 of the same item on 27th Nov - Christmas presents for children. One arrived on its own in a box about a week later, with no despatch note. As far as The Hut was concerned, the order was dealt with, even though I had only received half my order. Nearly a month later, after repeated messages, emails, signing and sending of documents (I've NEVER had to do that before for a missing item) and waiting, I still haven't received the item, and given it's now Christmas, I've had to go and buy another elsewhere. The online messaging centre thing is rubbish - really cumbersome and doesn't save message threads. Certainly won't use this company again.
