“Unprofessional and slow service”

Like several reviewers, I found it painfully slow to open a business account with HSBC. I was told I needed a telephone interview at the end of the long and tedious online and postal application stages, and when I was finally called, 2 weeks after making my application, I was told the interview, which they had arranged themselves, was with the wrong office. Instead of rescheduling the interview with the right office as a matter of urgency, they told me it would take 48 hours for a request for a new interview to be processed. It is now 4 days later and I still haven't heard from them- let alone get an interview date. What a woeful performance. I am now starting again with a different bank. How can HSBC come out so high on many "best business account' reviews. Seems likely these are armchair reviewers!
