“Unlike a lot of new Indian restaurants, the Raj Mahal...”

written by NeilT on 14/06/2006

Good Points
Everything apart from smoking being allowed.

Bad Points
Smoking allowed, which in a small restaurant can be quite annoying to non-smokers.

General Comments
Unlike a lot of new Indian restaurants, the Raj Mahal still has an Indian feel. There is normally some quiet Indian music in the background, and a friendly service. The food is top quality, and not the usual runny sauces you get in some Indian meals, and a litre of house Italian red wine is only about £10.

I've eaten in many Indian restaurants around the country, and I can safely say this is the best, and luckily it is only 10 minutes walk from my house.

They also don't charge any extra for Valentines day, which is nice.

What more can I say? The only time we eat out locally is if we eat at the Raj Mahal, and we normally eat there 2 - 3 times a month.
