Paid for two Groupon vouchers, was asked to pay £250 (more than the value of the vouchers) on top to secure the booking.
This EXTRA cost would have been for a different hotel to the voucher, a whole hour outside the city centre and a whole star rating less.
They had my card details by this point and were asked not to proceed with the booking whilst I requested a refund from Groupon (who agreed there should be no extra charges whatsoever and immediately refunded...). Tourcenter processed the money regardless, and then refused to refund.
Will now have to chase a refund via Section 75 or the small claims court.
I've since booked a 'DIY' trip to Rome for £150 less than Tourcenter's price - makes you wonder why you would use a Tour Operator in the first instance?
Their one plus is that their customer service representatives are polite, if unhelpful.
Avoid, do it yourself - save hours of hassle.
