“Overall very happy with my Picasso driving experience....”

written by hargapril on 14/01/2007

Good Points
We were thrilled with the Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6i Desire from the time we go it to the time I wrote it off. Very comfortable on long journeys. Lots of boot space. Great big digital display making it easy to see whilst driving. Nice high position. Economical to run. I must also add that having been in the unfortunate position of witnessing its crash safety performance I was very very impressed. We crashed on the motorway, hit the central reservation, then a car, then rolled and landed upright again facing the opposite direction. Nobody even had a scratch on them. I had my two young sons in the back and we all walked away dazed, but physically uninjured. Thank you Picasso.

Bad Points
Only four bad points to report:
1. Not a lot of oomph in the engine - noticeable when pulling out to overtake etc. Can take a while to get going.
2. A bit noisy in fifth gear. I liked to keep the radio on to drown this out.
3. Front side pillars negatively effect vision on corners and roundabouts.
4. Had spare wheel stolen only to discover that it was never locked in! Hadn't been told that. Should be standard.

General Comments
Overall very happy with my Picasso driving experience. I am seriously thinking of buying another one.
